Many of our patients aren’t aware that their options for paying for dental care can include their superannuation. In certain cases, some patients may need funding to cover the cost of their dental work including orthodontics, implants, crowns, braces and dentures.
The government’s Early Release of Superannuation (ERS) program is designed to give you access to your superannuation on compassionate grounds in certain circumstances. Using part of your superannuation to pay for dental expenses becomes available if you have no other means to pay for the treatment and you meet the eligibility criteria. To be eligible to access your superannuation you must be experiencing acute or chronic pain or mental illness. If you are unsure of your eligibility, our dentists will be able to assess your situation and advise if you are eligible to apply for ERS.
At Fix Dental we understand how painful it can be to live with tooth issues and discomfort. If you desperately require dental work to fix your teeth and relieve your situation, our dentists can help you to apply for funds through the early release of superannuation. This process can either be through the ATO (where the patient applies)or through an agency to help you with the process.
If you’re considering accessing your superannuation to pay for critical dental work the first step is to book an appointment for a comprehensive consultation with one of our dentists. In this consultation, your dentist will review your dental condition and form a treatment plan to best suit your needs. We can then work with you to complete all of the required forms needed to apply for early release of superannuation and submit the application to the ATO online through your MyGov account. Once your application has been approved, we can also guide you through the process to receive your funds so that you can begin your dental treatment as soon as possible.
To start the process of Early Release of Superannuation for dental work, book a dental consultation online or call your nearest clinic at Mount Gravatt 07 3520 4088 or Chermside 07 3520 4078 for an initial appointment to assess your situation and eligibility.
