At Fix Dental Mount Gravatt and Chermside we’ve earned a reputation as one of the most trusted dentists in South-East Queensland and it’s largely thanks to the thousands of dental crown procedures that we’ve carried out. It’s our specialty, and over time we’ve developed brand-new techniques and industry contacts that allow us to deliver you the best dental crown procedures at a very low price.
Other dentists in Brisbane charge around $1,650 to $2,000 for dental crowns. Our cheapest nearby competitor comes in at $1,300. These prices aren’t set because you’re getting higher quality, a more experienced dentist or some other value-adding element. The simple fact is, we can offer crowns at such a low price, $999, due to extensive experience and the ability to source Australian-made crowns and materials at extremely low prices.
Advanced Technology
At Fix Dental Brisbane, we utilise advanced technology to improve every aspect of our crown application, from the materials used by our laboratory to the development of the crown itself. By incorporating new technology into daily operations at our practice, we’re able to deliver a better product and a better experience for all of our patients while also reducing our overheads. We value technology immensely and will continue to invest in the most advanced technology possible for our patients.
Our Brisbane dentists use CAD/CAM software to improve the way in which our crowns are shaped to each individual patient. CAD/CAM (computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing) is used in a wide range of dental procedures. We use it to size and shape a range of dental products, particularly crowns. By using CAD/CAM, we can design and manufacture crowns that are far more precisely suited to your specific requirements.
High Volume, Low Price
Perhaps the biggest key to our ability to offer cheap dental crowns is our close relationship with the laboratory. We undertake such a large number of dental crown procedures that we able to secure extremely beneficial contracts with the laboratory that manufactures the crowns. This allows us to use the best materials in our dental crowns at a lower price to other dentists. We can then pass those savings along to our patients.
Dental Crowns – Frequently Asked Questions
We get a lot of questions about dental crown procedures. We’ve put together a brief list of some of the most common questions and our answers so you can understand exactly what you’re getting into.
When do you need to get a dental crown?
Dental crowns are recommended for patients who have a severely cracked tooth or a tooth showing signs of decay and do not have a sufficient base for a filling. They’re an excellent solution for weak teeth and can make your natural teeth last longer.
What happens when you get a dental crown?
Dental crown procedures, using our technology and methods, are relatively straightforward. We’ll prepare the tooth by filing it back and shaping it so that a crown can fit over it snugly. We then take a 3D scan using the latest CadCam technology to scan the preparation and send it to our laboratory where a crown will be made to fit. In the meantime, we may fit you with a temporary crown if required. Once your crown is made, you’ll come in for a second appointment and we’ll fit it over your tooth using dental adhesive.
How can you make your dental crown last longer?
Taking care of your dental crown is the same as taking care of normal teeth. Brush and floss every day and visit your dentist for regular checkups.
Are there any risks to getting a dental crown?
There aren’t any particularly significant risks during the procedure of applying a dental crown outside of the standard risks of a dental procedure. Once you have your crown, there is a risk that if you don’t care for your teeth properly, the underlying tooth may decay. Sometimes, this can cause the crown to break off.
What are the benefits of dental crowns?
The benefits of dental crowns far outweigh any risks. They can protect your existing teeth, saving you the cost of expensive alternatives such as an implant. Further, they can help prevent more serious dental issues arising from decaying teeth.
Are there any alternatives to dental crowns?
There are some alternatives to dental crowns, although it can depend on your particular dental situation. Veneers and implants are solutions for discolouration and tooth breakdown. We will only recommend a dental crown if we believe it is the best solution for you.
